BLOG UPDATE: "Pagelets" Installed - Almost Complete
Time flies, regardless of whether you are having fun or not. That's the fact that we almost always seem to forget.I haven't been able to update my blog for quite a number of reasons. You really wouldn't want to know all of them. Just know this, I am no longer a bum.
However, even though I haven't been able to post new and interesting entries recently, I did try to come up with these things I like to call "Pagelets".
What are Pagelets?
Well,I did really want to own this term, but apparently, someone else had already coined it before me. Go figure!
According to Sandvox:
We are all familiar with web pages, but Sandvox introduces the concept of pagelets. A pagelet is in effect, a miniature webpage that you place alongside a page's main content to display supplemental information.
Pretty straightforward, don't you think?
Well, this has been a major breakthrough for me, since I have had to go through so much trouble in figuring out a way to deploy this little thingamajig.. Luckily, I was able to come across a template, and I pretty much had to study it and dissect its parts to know how it works.
So far, I am was able to finish the links/affiliates pagelet and the contact me pagelet. Definitely, I would be finishing the profile and the highlights pagelets.
A word of caution though, there seems to a bug with the code when using IE. Clicking the Contact button wrecks the alignment of the header. I don't have the technical know-how to fix this, nor do I have the patience. Just stick to the other browsers. Or bear with it. Anyway, if you move away from the contact pagelet it all works well again.
P.S.
It's nice to be back!
