CONTEST: How Old is Old?
Cathara will be celebrating her 25th birthday on the 13th of October.
She's a new found friend here in Blogosphere. Well, actually, DedeAndro indirectly introduced me to her. D tagged me to join in Cathara's contest: "How Old is Old?"

Here are the mechanics:
- Blog about 'How Old Is Old'. It should be at least 50 words.

On to my entry:
Old is a term I use to classify achieving a sense of completeness. And by completeness I mean in every aspects of life, in everything we do, and in everything we have. But this immeasurable state varies from person to person, and I believe, that as long as we still are longing for something to be accomplished, waiting for someone to come back to us, dreaming of being who we always ought to be, we are still growing. And that is a genuine sign that we are still young.
Old therefore is a state of being complete. It is when we have fully actualized ourselves, if Maslow were here to support me. It is when our id has been fully satisfied, should Freud join in the discussion. It is not bounded by time. It knows no limit. It is only when we reach our ultimate state.
But if you ask me really, I’d rather stay being young. I’d rather continue to be always almost finished. I’d want to continue to dream and never stop hoping for something to inspire me every time I wake up, thinking that somehow, someone would still make me even happier than how I am now. I’d want to keep on wishing that God will keep on blessing me with His good graces.
And I trust God, that He will keep me young; inquisitive and curious, loving and loved, always almost complete. So I keep on appreciating everything that He has given me, whether good and on occasions ill. It is my responsibility as a young man to fulfill His purpose for me, for it is never over, as long as I still breathe the very air that sustains us all. It is my purpose. And I thank him for that.
I’ll take to heart what a very special and dear friend has said:
Learn to value all the things that God has given you, because you might not know when he will take it back from you.And so I value you my sweet friend, because you were given to me as I was to you. And I pray that you stay for I will never grow old of loving you. *ilovethee!*

Haha, I won't be able to watch the rest of season 2 of True Blood. You see, I traveled to the province and I forgot to bring the DVD I bought. I don't think our internet here is fast enough for streaming so I will be able to continue watching the series after a week, when I get back to the city.. :)

Hmm.. I agree with you. I think being old is relative. Ok, age is an indicator of how long one has stayed in this spinning rock called earth. then again, the years alone aren't enough grounds to call someone old.
I like the topic. It's something that would make you ponder through the innermost recesses of your mind. Had my writing been un-erratic I would have written an essay about it too.
