FEATURING: C. Graham - Musical Scores
Back in college, I knew this guy named Christopher Francis Graham. He also went to college with me in the Ateneo de Manila University. Wait, he actually is STILL in college right now! Hailing from the Queen City of the South (from which I also come from), Chris has started to create his own music. Tonight, I'll be featuring some of his masterpieces.
I first heard his pieces from his Multiply site. So I immediately emailed him to allow me to publish his works on my Blogger.com. He gladly agreed and sent me his music files.
What I will be offering you tonight will be two musical scores he created for a play in school. Not much detail has been given to me about the nature of the play but in one of our correspondence he mentions:
" these songs are for a play.
ok first was for the creepy theme... then my friend, Kyle's group mates said that it was too scary... the play is of a love-story that has a ghost in there somewhere.. like the ghost was in love with the girl or something...
so i made the second file i sent u... i tried to make a median between love-story-ish and scary music..."
Play List:
1. Christopher Graham - Web Theme
2. Christopher Graham - Ghost Love
I hope you enjoy!

Haloo Dickaroo! :D I miss you, too!
I listened to both tracks, the second one really does seem more in context with the play (if the story really wasn't meant to be horror). The first one had a desperate tone to it at some points. Those points give me images of someone who's on the brink of suicide. Wala lang. The image was more prominent in the first part of the first track.
Hi Inca,
That's what his friends probably thought, that's why he made the second track to add in the essence of love in the picture. I could understand him naman. The story involved a ghost in it, so I guess that was what inspired him to add in the mysterious feel to the first track.
I hope he can voice out his opinion on the topic as well.. I'll see if he can drop by and respond to people's comments from time to time. :)
I really appreciate your dropping by Incaloo.. If you have time next time, log in through Echo so you'll have a profile na rin.. Hoping you'd still come visit us in the Philippines..

hey, this is chris graham :)
haha yeah. i thought at first that the play would really be for horror, so i was trying to go for a creeply crawly to tragic-death-surrounding-you-pampampam effect kinda thing. :)) hahaha. turned out it was more of a love story with a ghost, not a horror story that had a side-love-thing going on.
when my friend corrected me and told me i got the theme wrong, i made the second one. i was checking out an african choir effect i found and i made the choir sing a major chord as the piano responds with the harmonic minor scale - it had a cool feel that i liked from danny elfman's music (like the "ice dance" from edward scissor hands - CHECK IT OUT ON YOU TUBE! ) so i kept it.
yeah, i agree that the image is clearer on the first song. haha oh man, if it sounded suicidal, i may have gone overboard on some parts then hahaha :)). thank you for commenting :)
Hiya Chris,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving some inisghts.. Hehe! :)
